Private: Rural Vermont Estate

This home was built in the National Historic Landmark and Olmsted designed Shelburne Farms on the shores of Lake Champlain. The architecture has been sited to sit nestled in a meadow-like landscape with views over the lake as if the residence had existed for generations. Landscape forms extend the formalist architecture, with modern decisions in the detailing. Features include an auto court, entertainment terraces, stone walls, swimming pool, large specimen trees, gardens, a great lawn and a surrounding meadow restoration.

Project developed by David Russo while at HKW Partnership.
